The district known as Cainhoy Peninsula is sandwiched between Nowell Creek on the east and the Wando River on the west at the far eastern edge of Charleston. And last but not least, Daniel Island is a rapidly growing residential district situated east of the Cooper River, west of the Wando River, and north of Downtown Charleston.
